As a result I have seen an improvement in my strength, endurance and recovery after training and have also learnt that there is no need to fear certain food types.
Ricky’s Next Step Journey
Ricky is a busy father of two, with a full time job, who also balances training for 60-90 minutes from 6:30am so that he can fit in his workouts.
Ricky was wondering how best to fuel his workouts, and then his long work days, as he had hit a wall with regards to his progress.
Ricky worked with us on the Performance Plan, and made fantastic progress strength wise, and with his body composition (which wasn’t one of his major goals).
Ricky learned how to properly fuel his training, and subsequently improved his strength levels, his recovery, and his daily energy for work.
This also improved his energy levels for his demanding role as a father.
Ricky also discovered that no foods were inherently good or bad for you, especially carbohydrates. This improved his flexibility in his dietary approach, allowing him to enjoy more meals out with his family and friends.
Here’s what Ricky had to say about his journey with Next Step Nutrition
Before I began working with Jonny and Next Step Nutrition, I believed that protein and fats were good and carbs were bad. Jonny talked me through the benefit that introducing more carbohydrates to my diet would have, set up a personalised plan for me and regularly linked in to check my progress. As a result I have seen an improvement in my strength, endurance and recovery after training and have also learnt that there is no need to fear certain food types.I would highly recommend NSN for anyone looking to increase their performance through nutrition.
Many thanks Jonny!
